ODOEVSKY GALLERY

The Odoevsky gallery was found in 1999. Before 1999 the exhibitions had been performed in exhibition halls of the Ekaterinburg Cinema House. The most brilliant was the 1998 project of exhibition by Johen Ehhman (Stuttgart, Germany) titled “ An artist – a graphist and animator” where 50 graphic works and a program of the author’s animated pictures were presented. In June 1999 the first exhibition in our own exhibition halls was arranged. Since its establishing the gallery has organized 10 exhibitions including genre ones – “nature-morte” (40-50 artists), some personal vernissages by Ekaterinburg artists and a collective exhibition titled “Seven artists” dated to the UNESCO Congress.
The gallery disposes of an own baguette workshop, provided with modern equipment and a near-by-parking site where an art works market is located. The gallery cooperates with art scientists experienced in organizing large exhibitions like “Sverdlovsk artists in Moscow” in 1985, “The artists Ekaterinburg – 275” and the several hundreds of other municipal, regional exhibitions and abroad. The main principal of the gallery consist in dynamism, frequent renewal of the exhibits (1 day to 2 weeks), arranging of widesale conceptual and commercial exhibitions.
