RUS-ART: Graphics: Sazhayev

Mikhail Sazhayev was born in 1948. He had no special artistic training for a number of reasons. He believes that he passed through the genuine school of art in the "underground" environment of the '70-'80s that later formed the backbone of various "informal" schools for Russian art: also through his acquaintance with many of the then living masters, and with exhibitions and museum heritage in his country and abroad he gained his knowledge of art. Now, after two decades of looking for his own formula in the artistic design of books, design, cinema, theater, applied arts and mainly in his unique drawing and painting, the Master has defined his own position in modern art by singling out and indulging in the last two genres. His aesthetic philosophy is based on the fact that mankind is inundated with precise and diverse information and is being deprived of its old national myths and mysteries.
A repeated international prize winner in drawing and China production (Bulgaria, Italy) this indefinable Master, who has pay no attention to fashion or competition for almost 20 years, keeps rousing the interest of numerous connoisseurs and patrons of art, creating legends and amusement about himself and sending hundreds of his drawings and paintings to every corner of his country and abroad.
